New defibrillators improve emergency response at Monash Sport Clayton

We are thrilled to announce Monash Sport has installed another two Automatic External Defibrillators at it's Clayton facilities, to go with the existing defibrillator.

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm. AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

Building on the high level of emergency response at Monash Sport, the two new Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located in the Fitness Centre and the First Aid room of the Doug Ellies Swimming Pool. The original AED will remain opposite our seminar room.

Increasing our total number of AEDs at our Monash Sport Clayton facilities will assist in our First Aid trained staff to respond promptly and professionally to all emergencies.

This increase in emergency first-response equipment shows our commitment to providing a safe environment for all of our members and guests. We welcome any feedback on these additional measures.
