Doug Ellis Swimming Pool Receive Platinum Pool Award for 5th Year in a Row
The Doug Ellis Swimming Pool has joined an exclusive club alongside only 20 other Victorian aquatic facilities, by being given the highest award possible for maintaining an outstanding level of water safety.
The Platinum Pool award is a program managed by Life Saving Victoria (LSV), the leading organisation for safety around the beach and swimming pool. To achieve the Platinum Pool award, the Doug Ellis Pool had to undertake a rigorous series of assessments to ensure it met all of Life Saving Victoria's criteria for the accreditation.
This is the Doug Ellis Pool's fifth consecutive year it has earned Platinum status for it's level of water safety, proving it's consistency in high water safety standards and dedication to maintaining a safe environment for members.
LSV General Manager for Public Training and Pool Safety, Andy Dennis, said only the aquatic facilities who can maintain a high water safety standard are considered for this highly respected industry award.
"We are very selective when awarding Platinum Pool accreditation," Mr Dennis said,
"LSV must be satisfied that exemplary levels of aquatic water safety are being achieved and constantly maintained before the award is issued."
